Papdi Chaat £3 per plate

Papri chaat is a traditional street snack found all over India. Papris are crispy chips made from a simple wheat dough. Much like nachos, the papris are topped with assorted accoutrements of complementing and contrasting textures and flavors, and always dusted generously with chaat masala  a fragrant and flavorful spice mixture. Traditionally, you find the papris buried under fluffy boiled potatoes, tender chickpeas, cool yogurt, bright mint chutney, sweet-and-sour tamarind chutney, and crunchy sev (fried chickpea noodles)

Ragda pattice. £3 per plate

Ragda Pattice are pan fried or shallow fried potato patties are topped with ragda (dried peas curry) and the various chaat chutneys, sev and spice powders. So the final dish has various textures, tastes and flavors – spicy, sweet, savory, tangy, crunchy, crispy, soft.

Toral lives in Cockermouth in Cumbria and loves cooking the traditional Indian street food that she grew up with.  Her passion for cooking led her to set up her own business and now she has a catering business to share her unique flavours that tantalise the taste buds!
